As you know, the JA mission depends on the work of generous volunteers. Every year, more and more classrooms request the JA curriculum, which means we need an ever-increasing number of caring, trained individuals to take our message to the students. It’s a good problem to have, and we have a great group of people who are working to help us!
The JA Young Professionals Board is hosting a volunteer recruitment event called ‘For the Love of JA’. They’re planning a fun, laid-back evening with the goal of introducing the JA mission to young professionals who have not been involved before. On February 9th from 6:00-8:30pm, they’ll take over Firespring to show them just how easy, convenient, and meaningful it is to become a JA classroom volunteer.
Do you know a young professional that should know more about JA, or is looking for a new way to give back to their community? Make sure they don’t miss out on this fun, meaningful evening! There will be food, drinks, networking, and a raffle, and most importantly the chance to get to know JA of Lincoln and the YP Board.
Anyone interested in attending can email Alison at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP. Please spread the word and help make this a successful event!
