JA SPARK was a one-day crash course on the ins and out, challenges and triumphs of being an entrepreneur. Students from Lincoln and surrounding areas gathered at Union College to hear from local entrepreneurs, create their own unique business plans, and then put those plans to the test in front of a panel of judges.
Aaron Young of ChefauChef, Natasha Plooster of Eat Fit Go, Zach Harsin of Pink Gorilla Events, and Adam Kroft of Red Thread were generous enough to share their time and experiences with our students. Being an entrepreneur is a challenging and rewarding journey, and we’re so grateful to these experts for de-mystifying the concept for our students.
Of course, this great day would not have been possible without the support of some wonderful sponsors! Thank you Pepsi, Olson Family, Nelnet, Union College for investing in the business owners of tomorrow.
We can’t wait to see what these sparks of creativity, motivation, and ambition will turn into!
