Do you know a high school student with an interest in business? If you do, don’t let them miss out on JA SPARK! It’s inspiration, motivation, creativity, and guidance– all packed into one amazing day!
The one-day high school entrepreneurship event will take place on October 10th from 9:00-3:30 at Union College in the Krueger Center. Successful local entrepreneurs will take students through the process of starting and growing a business. This year’s entrepreneurs include Adam Kroft of Red Thread, Aaron Young of ChefauChef, and Natasha Plooster of Eat Fit Go.
Students will get first-hand insight from leaders who’ve done it. Over the course of the day, students will learn how to prepare a winning business plan, and will have the opportunity to pitch the plan to expert judges at the end of the day. Every year, we’re blown away by the creativity of the business plans the students create!
Because we’re committed to providing these opportunities to all students, JA SPARK is free to all Nebraska high school students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Of course, opportunities like this are possible because of caring sponsors who want our students to succeed. Thank you to Pepsi, Nelnet, Olsson Family Foundation, and Union College for investing in the future of our community.
We can’t wait to see what grows out of the next JA SPARK!
