So many people come together to make the JA mission possible! We’re a small staff at JA of Lincoln, but we impact tens of thousands of students every year through the generosity of an army of volunteers, educators, and supporters. They truly are the reason we can do what we do, and we love to recognize and thank them. But we need your help!
We’re currently taking nominations for Peak Performance Awards for both educators and volunteers. If you’re an educator who had a volunteer in your classroom this year who made each lesson thoroughly engaging for your students through relevant stories and creative connections between the curriculum and the business world, dedicated extra time to developing a partnership with you, showed enthusiasm for Junior Achievement programs, and inspired a lasting impression beyond the curriculum, the we want to know about it! On the flip slide, if you’re a volunteer who was in the classroom of a teacher who made business and economic education a priority in the classroom through involvement in Junior Achievement programs, dedicated extra time to developing a partnership with you, extended the economic education of the students through additional activities or enhancement of JA programs, and showed enthusiasm for Junior Achievement programs, then we’re looking for your input.
JA Peak Performance Awards will be awarded to three educators and three classroom volunteers who go who embrace the JA mission and “go above and beyond the classroom” to make JA a positive experience for students. They will be recognized at the annual Junior Achievement Spirit of Achievement Luncheon held on June 13, 2017 at the Cornhusker-Marriott Hotel.
Please submit your nomination to the JA Lincoln office by Wednesday, May 3rd. Feel free to brag about your awesome JA teacher or volunteer partner! We can’t wait to read them, and to honor the best of the best!
