It’s never been hard to see what a wonderfully generous place Lincoln is. We have an amazingly varied and vibrant non-profit scene, and we’re so fortunate that our community is so invested in working toward the best possible quality of life for all our fellow residents.
Over the last few years, Give to Lincoln Day has become the clearest representation of this generosity. On one day, thousands of residents donate to the charities and non-profits of their choice to compete for matching funds from the Lincoln Community Foundation. Last year, more than $3 million dollars was raised, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in matching funds were distributed. To put it mildly, this day has become a very big deal for Lincoln!
This year’s Give to Lincoln Day is scheduled for May 26th, and we hope that you’ll include a donation to Junior Achievement of Lincoln! Specifically, we’re asking you to help us celebrate our 45th anniversary with a $45 donation. That’s one dollar for every year JA has been helping to shape the future for the students of Southeastern Nebraska. One dollar for every year of giving students their best shot at financial success. One dollar for every year of building a stronger Nebraska, one classroom at a time. One dollar for every year that has lead us to our current position of strength, reaching over 26,000 students in 12 counties this school year alone.
And here’s more good news– you don’t have to wait until May 26th to make your donation! You can go to https://givetolincoln.razoo.com/giving_events/g2l16/home to schedule your donation ahead of time, and still have it counted towards matching funds.
Please remember JA of Lincoln and 45 for $45 on May 26th!
