Every year, one Junior Achievement of Lincoln meeting of the Board of Directors stands out from all the rest. It’s probably our favorite meeting, because it’s when we get to have some of our best and brightest students as guests, and give back to them in a very tangible away. To qualify for the $5,500 in scholarships we gave away this year, students had to have a record of academic excellence, service to their school and community, and participation in JA programs. These students really are some of the most promising in our area, and we’re so excited to see what they’ll accomplish! We have every confidence that their bright futures will mean a brighter future for our community, and we’re grateful to be able to recognize their efforts.

For the second year, JA curriculum was part of every LPS business economics class within the business department. Thanks to sponsor Kaplan University, nearly 1,000 more students in 30 classrooms were taught lessons of financial literacy, business ethics, and entrepreneurship by JA volunteers from the local business community.
