We’ve got some big news – and an even bigger “thank you” to send out!
State Farm has long been a great friend of JA of Lincoln, generously offering both time and financial support to many of our programs. This year alone, more than 30 State Farm employees are volunteering on behalf of JA in Lincoln schools. Now, they’re stepping up again in a big way!
State Farm has just announced a $50,000 grant to JA of Lincoln! The partnership will focus on 13 Lincoln elementary schools, providing our financial literacy programs to more than 4,000 students. With this grant, the schools will be able to offer financial literacy education taught by a community volunteer at no cost to the students.
“Students need to understand credit, banking, savings and money management to improve their odds of financial stability in the future,” said State Farm Public Affairs Specialist Kelly Pargett. “The financial education Junior Achievement volunteers provide to students gives them the tools they will need to succeed.”
Thanks to State Farm, more students than ever will be receiving those tools! We’re so grateful for generous companies like State Farm that are so willing to invest in the future of our community. Hug a State Farm agent today! Visit the State Farm website for more info.
