One of the key elements in a successful career is simply the willingness to say yes– to new opportunities, new challenges, new experiences. That willingness is what separates those who talk from those who do.
We’ve got an amazing opportunity for Lincoln high school students who have that willingness, accompanied by the motivation and drive to succeed. Now in its third year, Driven Youth Invitational is a 7-week intensive program that gives students the knowledge and insight they need to compete and succeed in today’s economy.
Over 7 Tuesday evenings, they’ll be mentored by some of Lincoln’s most successful and inspirational entrepreneurs, learning how they turned their passions into careers. Students will develop business ideas, learn how to do market research, and finally compose their very own business plans. At the end of the session, one of the students will walk away with a $500 scholarship from Nelnet! And did we mention that it’s all FREE?
Here’s this year’s line-up of speakers. It’s an impressive group!
- Nick Bock- Co-Founder and CEO, Five Nines Technology Group
- Jay Wilkinson – Founder and CEO, Firespring
- Blake Lawrence – Founder, Hurrdat and opendorse
- Stephanie Jarret – Co-Founder and CMO, Bulu Box
- Collin Caneva – Co-Founder and CEO, Gear Five Studio
- Mailani Veney- Lincoln Industries & Jazzercise
