The school and fiscal years are over, the numbers are in, and it’s official– JA of Lincoln is a great choice when it comes to investing your time and money.
Of course, we wouldn’t make a claim like that without the stats to back it up. In 2011, JA of Lincoln reached almost 17,000 students in Southeastern Nebraska, up from about 14,000 the previous year. Those students benefited from the experience and enthusiasm of 626 community volunteers, up from 550 in 2010.
But hey, we know who our audience is. All our great corporate-type friends are probably thinking, “That sounds great, but how does that stack up in the grand scheme? How does JA of Lincoln compare to its peers?”
Oh boy, do we have some numbers for you.
Ranked against the 6 cities that JA USA considers to be our peer group, JA of Lincoln is number one when it comes to number of students reached and number one in market share… and we do it all with the lowest total cost per student.
That’s a lot of work by a lot of great volunteers. That’s a business community that invests in the future. That’s a city that’s willing to come together to support the education of its youth.
So thank you, Lincoln. Let’s do it all again in 2012!
